According to EU rules only Norwegian explorers are allowed to wear socks and sandals together. Certificates of exemption can be applied for from the Sokker og Sandaler Department, Norwegian Embassy, Belgrave Sq. London.

1: I generally start before 9 and continue until after 8 (assuming I am wearing anything at all).
2: Socks: Only if it is cold; if it is really cold, no sandals. But, sandals or not, always Birkenstocks or Swedish wooden clogs.
    3: Of course.
4: I have been known to wear shorter ones, though not longer ones.
5: Colours: OK, but I wouldn’t object to louder ones. Below the knee? As a member of the KLF I can’t support that.
6: Despite being red-headed (and red-bearded) and having freckles, I do get a tan in sunlight. By this time of year, skin is dark enough not to need sunscreen.

I thought that after I wrote it, but perhaps Norwegian intellectual property rights could be registered in the EU considering it is such an important cultural issue.

Does the colour/pattern of shorts indicate anything? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ok_SM-aSb4
